A Golfer's 12 Days of Christmas is an athletic tale about what happens when an obsessive golfer gets some early Christmas wishes, along with help from golf legends. Each day he sets up and hits what should be a perfect ball, but of course, it is not. The first day he hits a tree and a nest and flushes a partridge on the first hole. Then it is a startled swan on the ninth hole, and so on. The references are contemporary--I-Pods, Tiger Woods, and the like. This is a book for adults or kids who are really into the game of golf. I will not spoil the end but Todd does have a Merry Christmas. The little book is striped like a candy cane and contains only text, no illustrations. This book is a nice stocking stuffer for any real or armchair golfer. 2005, Gibbs Smith, Ages Adult.
