For the last ten years they have worked on reconstructing the system of astronomically based measurements that were used in Stone Age Britain. "This research suddenly exploded when we found a direct connection between the astronomer-priests of Stone Age Britain and the pyramid builders of ancient Egypt from the third millennium BC," they write. Their new book, while well written, shifts from henges in England, to the pyramids, to the U.S. Pentagon, where the authors believe there is a hidden chamber known to only 33 people. They also argue that the layout of major sites in Washington, DC, can be measured in Megalithic Degrees, with the creation of the city linked to Freemasonry. VERDICT This is a mind-boggling trip filled with information—and imagination.
