This story, like real life, is full of choices and dilemmas of right and wrong with little clear direction. The characters do their best, but being teenagers, they sometimes make hasty, ill-conceived decisions, but always with the best of intentions. Their good intentions and their inner strength help them in their constant struggle against evil. Will Saint Dane win the battle? Will the klee and gars who inhabit Black Water learn to live in harmony? How many more Travelers will be lost in the battle with Saint Dane and where will Bobby's new adventures take him? MacHale creates believable worlds, heroes who have doubts and lots of adventures as well as tension in this series.
