Children being introduced to Seuss for the first time will love these playful stories and will enjoy the remarkable performances that make the stories come so alive. Stories include some of the best-known Seuss tomes such as The Cat in the Hat, The Lorax, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Horton Hears a Hoo, and Thidwick, the Big-Hearted Moose. Adults will love revisiting the stories but may like them even more because of the performances by these great readers. All, save Danson, have done a marvelous job interpreting Seuss's work in a way that will appeal to all who listen. Ted Danson, however, failed to find the humor in The Lorax that precedes the disaster that occurs. It is that lightness and humor that makes The Lorax's tale so painfully clear.
