The inclusion of pre- and post-test considerations and explanations that the patient and family need is unique. Assessment:There are many diagnostic and laboratory books but few are as comprehensive as this one. It presents the material in such a way that even the novice can follow the rationale and importance of the tests. It is not clear from the preface what changes have occurred between the first and second editions.
