On the first page are twelve shapes with the advice that if you can draw these things, you can draw anything in the book. The shapes are as simple as a circle, a triangle, a C, a D, a period and a squiggley line. Here is how it works. Underneath each drawing is one of the shapes at the beginning of the book. You are directed where to place the shapes on the drawing. A vampire's face begins as a semicircle. Three additional semicircles are added for the mouth and eyes. The head is filled in and more semicircles form the ears. In fifteen steps we have a very scary flying vampire. Vampire bats, goblins, monsters and witches are the subjects of this artistic endeavor. Evil Eva begins as a long rectangle. The more complex drawings are a complete skeleton and King Kong on the Empire State Building.
