In an allegoric retelling of Shakespeare's classic play, Hamlet's Ghost takes readers to the fictional setting of Kanaranzi Creek, Minnesota. But this picturesque setting only hides the lies that have been hidden for generations. Ansel Nielson visits Lake Kanaranzi during the summer of 1988 in order to understand the mystery surrounding his father, who’d committed suicide ten years earlier. Convinced he is about to be possessed by a demon named “Sam,” Ansel meets Lacy Morrison and finds security in her simple understanding of Christianity. But will Ansel be able to find the truth about his condition and save himself from the same fate as his father?
