To the right is a page of illustrated directions for an activity to accompany the song. Play the accompanying CD with the medleys, and you can guarantee a good time for all. The last double-page spread is really for parents and caregivers. It is a breakdown by months of age-appropriate activities. The four illustrated songs are: "If You're Happy and You Know It," "The Animals Went in Two by Two, Hurrah! Hurrah!," "The Big Ship Sails on the Ally-Ally-Oh" and "This Is the Way the Ladies Ride." That's it for the words and pictures, but the CD continues with 10 more instrumentals. They are all traditional British or American tunes, such as the "Sailors' Hornpipe," "Michael Finnegan" and "Turkey in the Straw/ Billy Boy." While these are "bouncy" tunes intended to get little ones moving, they are also easy listening for adults who won't mind hearing them again and again.
