In response to Western and Thai sexuality studies that fail to accurately represent the diverse sexuality of Thailand, Jackson (Thai history, Australian National U.) and Sullivan (behavioral sciences, U. of Sydney) present nine contributions which discuss certain factors that need to be taken into account when developing AIDS/HIV intervention programs. Topics include the self-representation of male homosexuals, support systems for male commercial sex workers, the experiences of transgendered individuals, and lesbian identity.
