It is hard to imagine that a three-year-old needs an electric warming tray, sandpaper and gloves to learn to enjoy the process of drawing. At least the first activity in this collection of fifty is free drawing. There are some time-tested favorites, but many are contrived or just plain inappropriate. My favorites are the aforementioned free drawing, making texture rubbings with crayons, finger painting and making little books.
