A motley collection of M.B.A.s and M.F.A.s, truck drivers, actors, and dancers, New York natives and out-of-towners, Queer Stories has created an open forum where artists cultivate and refine their work and help each other generate ideas. For the past twelve years, Queer Stories has been organizing public evenings featuring some of the group’s most talented storytellers telling their own true stories— imagine a succession of gay Spalding Grays. This anthology re-creates just such an evening, between two covers. And all the stories are true—at least as true as they are queer.
