Jessica, Shereen, Ellie, and Yolanda were the Fabulous Four at Howard University: inseparable then, and, ten years later, still very much a part of each others' lives. Jessica hosts a TV talk show and is happily married to Douglas, a producer. Douglas wants a baby but Jessica, at a turning point in her career, isn't sure she's ready. She's agreed to try but is secretly on the Pill. Ellie is getting over an affair with a married man and making ends meet as a movie extra. Shereen is still single, fed up with men at the moment, overwhelmed, and working overtime as a financial manager for her father's design company. Yolanda is a lawyer, now divorced, in love with a mystery man. The others can't wait to meet him-and, yo, he turns out to be Shereen's old flame Terrence.
