He and his wife life on a mountainside in Pennsylvania along with an assortment of critters. A former classroom teacher and reading specialist, he is currently a Professor of Education at York College in York, Pennsylvania. As the author of more than 20 children's books he is a frequent visitor to schools around the country, where he shares the wonders of nature with a new generation of naturalists. Jennifer DiRubbio is a professional illustrator based in Merrick, New York. A supporter of numerous environmental organizations, Jennifer feels "There is beauty in everything; you just have to find it. I like to show that beauty to people so they will come to love, respect and appreciate nature as much as I do. My hope is to spark a desire to protect our natural world and all of its creatures."
