Written to introduce business students to the high-tech legal environment, this textbook discusses the "corpus juris" of e-commerce from an American perspective, but does treat significant global issues as they arise. Separate sections cover intellectual property issues; business and financial issues such as online contracting, e-commerce sales tax, and securities offering and transactions; and "special issues" that include privacy, obscenity, defamation, information security, Internet and computer crime.
