An update of the 1986 manual, this reflects the results of surveys completed by 150 small university and college libraries. Survey questions and their accompanying responses are informative, but the manual's real value is found in the many sample documents provided by responding libraries. These are grouped under the categories of Policies and Procedures, Employment/Dismissal, Orientation and Training, and Supervision and Performance Review. A glance through each section will elicit responses ranging from "I'm thankful we don't have to do that here!" to "Why haven't we thought of that before?"
