Michael F. Gewerth This book contains a well-documented course in periodontics for the dental hygienist. It includes the history, courses, and treatment modalities complete with pictures. The purpose is to help dental hygiene students, dental hygienists, and periodontal therapists. This book is written for dental hygiene students and practicing dental hygienists. The book has excellent illustrations but lacks colors photos. The overall appearance of the book is very plain. I found the text very informative, but perhaps a little too intense for students. The book is very well documented and includes good illustrations of technique and etiology.
